Ed Sheeran is set to break a 41-year-old Australian record

Ed Sheeran’s track ‘Shape of You’ is set to break ABBA’s record of the longest-running no.1 in Australian chart history.

In 1976 ABBA-scored an impressive 14 weeks at number one with ‘Fernando’  but it looks like Ed Sheeran could steal that record. ‘Shape of You’ has now clocked up ten weeks at the number one spot and he’s not slowly down.

When Smallzy caught up with Ed Sheeran, earlier this year the singer-songwriter revealed the one thing he wanted his fans to know…

“I don’t know if it’s [Divide] going to be the biggest album I have had but it’s going to be the most loved.”

Well, we’re here to tell you, that Divide is definitely on the way to be one of the biggest albums he’s ever had.

And if you think there’s a chance of Ed slowing down you’d be wrong, there’s still more Ed to come.
