Erin Molan in talks for new Channel Nine hosting gig
Onwards and upwards.
It's only been a day or so since Channel Nine dropped the cancellation axe on its long-running football program The NRL Footy Show, but it looks like the show's former host Erin Molan already has her eyes on her next gig.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Molan will stay at Nine and is reportedly negotiating a new contract for a new hosting role.
What that new hosting role is remains to be seen, but we can't imagine she'll be on the sidelines for too long given her extensive presenting and experience.
While Molan is in talks for a new hosting gig, she's keeping herself quite busy in the meantime.
Not only will Molan keep her current job on the Sunday Footy Show, The Daily Telegraph reports that she will take on a new role with Wide World of Sports, where she will help with the coverage of rugby league, netball, tennis, and cricket.
Channel Nine's Director of Sport Tom Malone had nothing but praise for Molan, saying:
“Erin is a star and a great broadcaster. She’s going to take an even more prominent role on Nine’s sports broadcasts going forward.”
It may be the end of an era with end of the NRL Footy Show, but in the words of Doctor Who: Onwards and upwards!
