This is nuts!

Everyone loves a tale of good overcoming evil. The hero sweeps onto the scene *just in time, of course* to foil the plan of the bad guy and everyone returns home, safe and happy.

What we love even more than a tale of good overcoming evil is when it happens in real life. And today my friends, that’s exactly what we have for you. Instead of Will Smith or Margot Robbie saving the day, this time, it was an everyday, plain old squirrel

According to reports by Fox News, a pet squirrel has prevented his owner’s Idaho home from being robbed by attacking the intruder.

The squirrel’s owner Adam Pearl recounts that he called the police after coming home to find his doors wide open and a number of his belongings gone. When police arrived at the scene, they were startled by the pet squirrel (named Joey) but soon found that he was key to solving the er, unique case.

When questioning a suspect, officials noticed that the man’s hands were covered in scratches. One of the police officers apparently asked him, "Did you get that from the squirrel?"

He allegedly replied, "Yeah, damn thing kept attacking me and wouldn't stop until I left,” Fox News reports.

Not long after, the police officer returned to Pearl’s home with his belongings in hand.

Joey was swiftly rewarded with some candy; apparently, this hero isn’t big on nuts.
