Katy Perry and Taylor Swift might have (sort of) ended their feud, but it seems the ‘Roar’ singer’s friendship with Rihanna is at breaking point.
The Sun reports the pair hasn’t seen each other for 18 months after falling out and saw each other for the first time in a long time at the Met Gala in New York.
When the pair came face-to-face at the Met they were forced to pose for an awkward photo together. You can really tell Rihanna’s not super into the situation:
Rihanna didn’t even include Katy on her guest list for her afterparty at an exclusive New York nightclub.
A source told the publication:
“Because Rihanna was chairing the Met Gala, she had to pose with a lot of the celebrity guests but it was really uncomfortable when she was asked to have the photo with Katy.
“They used to be close but Rihanna’s expression in the photo says it all.
“Katy was upset about the whole situation because Rihanna was cold to her and she wasn’t invited to her after-party.”
The former besties apparently fell out when Rihanna got back together with Chris Brown in 2012 and then again when Perry got back together with Orlando Bloom in 2016.
Rihanna was asked earlier this year if she’d consider joining Perry on the American Idol panel, she said:
“I don’t know, it depends on how bored I am.”
Yeah, we’re going to say things aren’t going to improve any time soon, maybe Katy should get some more olive branches ready.
