Prince Harry's friend slips up and says he's marrying Meghan Markle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be ready to get married sooner than we thought!

It seems that Prince Harry could be getting ready to tie the knot with Meghan Markle sooner than we might have thought according to a friend of the Royal!

According to The Sun, Kirstie Ennis, a former US marine and Paralympic hopeful accidentally revealed too much to a reporter when asked about the Prince's wedding.

Realising she'd given away too much information, Ennis "pleaded the fifth" – referencing the American term used when someone wants to exercise their right to remain silent – after being asked about Harry's "upcoming wedding". Nodding along to the question she responded:

“I don’t think I’m worried about the wedding. I’m worried about the after party.”

When reminded the "fifth doesn't count in England" she went quiet before responding, "Touche, true.

The soldier and Harry became friends after meeting at the "Walking with the Wounded" charity event. Ennis was injured in 2012 when she was involved in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan, leaving her with brain and spinal damage, a destroyed jaw and smashed arms and legs.

It was recently rumoured that Harry was going to pop the question before his birthday in September with some sources suggesting he'd be willing to ditch some royal responsibilities when he weds Meghan.

An insider said:

“If it comes to it, he’ll put his foot down and say no to some royal duties. Harry is strong-minded. He’s adamant about leading a normal life.”

Meanwhile, Meghan has said in the past she doesn't want to become a princess and be forced into a life of "shaking hands, cutting ribbons and kissing babies in public."

However, should she join the Royal family, she wouldn't avoid all royal duties.
