Nude photos of supermodel Kendall Jenner leaked online
Naked photographs of supermodel/Instagram lord Kendall Jenner have been leaked online.
The photos, stolen from photographer Russell James, show a clothes-free Kendall climbing a tree, riding a horse, running on a beach and relaxing in a pool.
The pictures, leaked without permission from James, were from his upcoming book Backstage Secrets: A Decade Behind the Scenes at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show - and are the first photos of the model featuring full-frontal nudity.
The images were first exhibited at a launch for the book in New York last week, which was attended by Kendall and fellow supermodels Cindy Crawford, Candice Swanpoel and Gigi Hadid.
The leaked photos went viral on Twitter, and were stolen by what news.com.au describe as a ‘hacker’.
James is yet to comment on the leak, but told Vogue that the photo shoots were conducted in close liaison with the models:
“I started this project in 2014 and was collaborating with each and every person to find out exactly how they wanted to be portrayed, so we critiqued each shot and talked about it together.
“So this (exhibition) was built on a trust between me and the model, but it was also built on this idea that we don’t want to stop this beauty.”
Fan response to the image leak was largely positive - with a minority commenting the supermodel was looking underweight in the photos.
Without addressing this backlash directly, Kendall sent a poignant message to fans via her Twitter account.
She reposted a 2015 video of her sister Kylie Jenner from 2015, talking about how she overcomes bullying online:
"Half of you guys think I'm weird. And the other half think I'm funny, but I've been bullied since I've been 9. From the whole world it feels like sometimes."
“…[There are] bullies everywhere. So this just a little like Snapchat to tell whoever with their own bullies that the only opinion that really matters is yours and to never change."
