GOT actor forced to apologise after hideous rape joke
Was this too far?
Jason Momoa is – for the most part – hugely popular among Game of Thrones fans (and people who simply appreciate a foiiine physique)
This would explain why the actor, who played Khal Drogo, was invited to the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con.
It would not, however, explain his vile statements at the event.
“AS FAR as sci-fi and fantasy, I love that genre because there are so many things you can do, like rip someone’s tongue out of their throat and get away with it and rape beautiful women.”
Yup. He said that.
And he didn't apologise right away.
He mightn’t have ever in fact, if it weren’t dragged up from the ether following all the Harvey Weinstein saga.
His original statement (ugh) went viral overnight prompting Momoa, who left GoT in 2012, to break his silence:
What do you think?
