Creator Of The Bachelor Says Khloe Kardashian Was In The Running To Be The Next Bachelorette
He took to Twitter to tell fans of the show that Khloe was in the running, but didn't make the top five.
This is not the first time Fleiss has made mention of the Kardashians with respect to the franchise. In February this year, he tweeted that he had "been in contact with my dear friend Kris Jenner about Khloe Kardashian as The Bachelorette."
His words drew a swift response from the Kardashian clan, with Khloe threatening legal action, according to Variety.
“I’m not f**king clickbait right now. Stop or you will be hearing from my lawyers. How insensitive,” she is reported to have replied.
ABC reality chief Rob Mills spoke with Variety about the confusion, telling the outlet the comments were "premature".
“Mike Fleiss and Kris Jenner do know each other well," he said.
"They judged Miss America together, so they’ve spent some time together, and Kris is a friend to the show. It was very premature. And to be honest, Khloe’s not wrong. She’s going through something and she was right to be a little miffed because this is an incredibly sensitive time for her. I don’t think there was any really (sic) conversation because it’s not the right time to have that conversation.”
In saying that, he didn't state that a KoKo Bachie season was off the cards:
“You never say never,” he said.
"...this is a woman who just had a baby and was cheated on — that is a powerful story that I think everyone could get behind, even if you know nothing about the Kardashians."
