Chris Evans tweets cryptic message about Avengers 4 and fans are going nuts
“It was an emotional day to say the least.”
For those of us who saw Avengers: Infinity War and are still having trouble getting over the ending.
Many of the theories suggest one of the two heroes will end up dying to stop Thanos and save the world.
On Friday, Evans sent the Internet into meltdown as he shared a cryptic tweet about wrapping on the unnamed Avengers 4.
“Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor.
“To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful."
While Chris has discussed leaving the franchise for a while now, and has previously told the New York Times, “You want to get off the train before they push you off.”
In the comic books, Steve Rogers is just one of a number of Captain Americas, with two of his replacements already in the MCU – Bucky Barnes AKA the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) and Sam Wilson AKA the Falcon.
Nevertheless, fans were still very upset about the tweet:
