Bindi Irwin announces next big project

Bindi Irwin keeps on kicking goals...

Australia’s national treasure Bindi Irwin has just announced her latest project and it’s pretty damn admirable. The 17-year-old daughter of late Steve Irwin will continue her father’s legacy and take over the reigns at the Australia Zoo.

“I’m getting ready to buckle down, work full-time and help out with the management of Australia Zoo. As I’ve been getting older I’ve been getting more and more involved in the workings of the zoo. There’s a lot to do.”

After Steve’s tragic death, his wife Terri stepped in to look after the property. Bindi says her mum is the strongest woman she knows.

“She’s carried on Dad’s legacy and I don’t know anyone else who could have done it better than her. No matter what life throws at us, she’s unchangeable. I want to be like her as I grow up.”

When Bindi assumes her new role she’ll be in control of more than 500 jobs at the Zoo and will have the opportunity to make a major impact on Queensland’s tourism.

No mention yet of if Bindi's American boyf Chandler Powell will make the move Down Under.
