BREAKING: Police operation underway at Apple store in Sydney CBD

1 min read

The Apple Store on George St has been evacuated by police.

Lunchtime shoppers at the Apple shop in Sydney's CBD got a fright today when they were urgently advised to leave the store.

Around six police cars descended on the area and groups of officers, accompanied by sniffer dogs, entered the building.

Customers quickly began tweeting about their eviction from the store and speculation on the reason why.

One claimed to have overheard talk of a bomb threat.

UPDATE: The Apple store has now been reopened. No information on the cause of the evacuation has been confirmed, although there are reports of a workplace accident.
