Rupert Grint does not hold back with feelings on kissing Emma Watson
A little behind-the-scenes on the romance between Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger...
We were gripped to our seats when Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger finally locked lips in an is-this-really-kid-appropriate scene in Harry Potter. But now Ron – sorry – Rupert Grint has smashed all our #hermioneandron4eva dreams by dropping a big, fat truth bomb.
"I never look back at that scene. I've known Emma since she was literally nine years old and we had this very brother-sister relationship. And it just felt very surreal. I have a memory of her face getting closer and closer. Like, 'Oh my God.' I can't really remember anything apart from that," he told People magazine recently.
Oh, wow #awks. Rupert was then asked if he would do anything differently about the scene (tbh, we're not sure where the interviewer was heading with that question...).
"One take was enough. It was such a huge moment and there was so much expectation. Quite a lot of pressure actually."
To be fair, even JK wasn't that keen on the romance. She told The Sunday Times last year, Hermione would've been better suited to Harry.
