Can't think of anything to do this close to Christmas? We've got you, Sydney!
Binge on cat videos and TV shows at the Opera House
The only problem with a weekend Netflix marathon is you reach Sunday arvo with the sinking feeling that you should have interacted with someone besides the UberEATS driver over the past 48 hours. Enter: Bingefest.
This brand new festival brings together pop culture, internet LOLs, podcasts, television and gaming in a 24-hour marathon at the Sydney Opera House.
Our highlights: a keynote from the creator of Serial, The Internet Cat Video Festival, a Beyonce vs Rihanna dance class and Shia LaBeouf in a new performance-art piece that promises to be weird AF.
When: Saturday December 17 to Sunday December 18
Where: Sydney Opera House. Circular Quay
Cost: varies by event (more info here)
Go glamping on Manly Beach
Anyone who’s ever woken up stiff in a sandy sleeping bag knows that camping near the beach is usually the opposite of glamourous, but the Bedouin on the Beaches pop-up is a gamechanger.
From now until the end of January, you can score yourself one of ten luxury furnished tents overlooking Manly Beach, complete with Persian rugs and goose feather pillows.
Your ticket includes brekkie at our favourite Shelly Beach café, The Boathouse.
When: daily until January 31
Where: North Head, Manly
