Well, this is exciting.

Making a Murderer was the show that cruelly took over our lives and turned us into crime solving novices as we spent our nights trying to piece together exactly what happened to Teresa Halbach. If you haven’t heard of Making a Murderer all we can say is…. Have you been living under a rock?

If you haven’t seen the series please stop reading this, log in to Netflix and watch it ASAP!

The popular Netflix documentary is a lot of things, gripping, enraging, heartbreaking and downright enthralling. Now it’s time to feel these emotions all over again because the filmmakers have been given the green light for a SECOND series.

Filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos are said to be planning a second series of the hit show in which they will unveil astounding new evidence. Rumour has it the pair have been contacted by a second juror who believes that Avery and nephew Brendan Dassey were framed for the murder. And just so you know, the filmmakers have already recorded conversations between themselves and Avery.

The filmmakers have said, “This story is ongoing, these case are open. It’s real-life so you don’t know what’s going to happen. We are ready… if there are significant developments, we will be there.”

Making a Murderer tells the downright chilling story of Steven Avery who was sent to prison for 18 years for a crime that he didn’t commit. Once released he was sent back to prison again for murder and the documentary argues that Steven Avery may not have committed that one either.

Last week Steven Avery released a letter to the media saying, “The real killer is still out there. Who is he stalking now? I am really innocent of this case and that is the truth! The truth will set me free!”

If you followed the show you would know exactly who Brendan Dassey is- when Brendan was convicted, he was 16-yeas old.  Now 25 this is what Brendan looks like now….

Whether you believe if Steven Avery is guilty or not, we are sure the second season is going to be just as gripping. Or it could be like season two of Serial (let’s not speak about that #amirite)
