J.K. Rowling confirmed three new movies 'cause Harry Potter will never die

J.K. ROWLING

'The Boy Who Lived' just keeps on living with a three-part movie spin-off just announced.

Exciting news, Potterheads. While we knew the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off flick Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was in the works, J.K. Rowling teased us with some new info on Monday.

Are you ready for it? The movie will be the first of a trilogy which, in case you flunked English, means there will be two more films to follow the first.

J.K. tweeted about the news, but before we get to that, here's a bit of background in case you haven't been following. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them stars Eddie Redamayne who plays Newt Scamander, a character who wrote a text book about magical creatures 70 years before Harry & Co. got to Hogwarts. The movie comes out in November this year.

Then there's a separate play called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which is considered to be the eighth Harry Potter book. That opens in London on July 30th.

A Twitter user got confused with the two - thinking the play was set to also become a movie. J.K. corrected him, and announced nope, it wouldn't be a movie, but * surprise * there would be TWO movies to follow the Fantastic Beasts.
