Pooping at this time of day is healthiest, says science
This the best time of day to take a number two.
While most of poop whenever the urge is upon us, there’s actually an ideal time of day to go. A doctor by the name of Kenneth Koch recently discovered the best time for doing number two is in the morning – specifically right after you wake up.
Dr. Koch explained in US mag Women’s Health that it has to do with your small intestine and colon working overtime while you’re sleeping. By the morning, your body is ready to unload all that junk it’s built up inside you.
He added that the trick is regularity. A morning dump is only beneficial when it’s an everyday occurrence.
"You can think of 100 reasons you don’t have time, but have that breakfast, recognize that urge to have a bowel movement, and then take the time. That’s how you get into a regular movement."
So really, you should be scheduling that poop o' clock time into your morning routine.
