PhotoMath: The end of learning as we know it?

MicroBlink have recently launched PhotoMath - a mobile app that can solve math problems in real-time right on your phone screen.

All you have to do is snap a photo of a math equation and the app will solve it, and even provide step by step method for how it was done.

It's fast and slick, and will make homework an absolute breeze for kids!

The question is, will apps like these help or hinder the learning of students in the long run? Hard to say.

PhotoMath app could be the end of learning as we know it.

It doesn't seem like education is what the company is all about.

“We are not an educational company, we are promoting our machine vision technology with PhotoMath,” co-founder and CEO Damir Sabol was quoted on techcrunch.com

“We started developing our technology three years ago. Now, our technology is mature enough, so we are going to develop broader usages with it."

PhotoMath app shows results instantly

No matter how many people flail their arms in the air yelling "KIDS THESE DAYS!", we all secretly wish we had this back in school.
